Zeynep Waelchli

Switzerland | Managing Director, Accenture AG

Zeynep Waelchli is Managing Director at Accenture, based in Zürich, Switzerland. She is part of Accenture’s European Life Sciences leadership team, responsible for the technology consulting practice. She is also a mentor for Accenture's next generation women leaders’ program, "I-Lead," and the Switzerland women initiative program. Her main area of expertise is shaping and running complex, innovative and digital- and technology-enabled transformation programs by bringing business and technology elements together to enable the new digital business models and digital health agendas of clients. In her client engagement role, she is responsible for Accenture’s Swiss-based Pharma/MedTech client, and is leading one of the big digital transformation programs. Her role includes leading a team of 100 Accenture professionals to build the digital platform and solutions, supporting the client by designing the digital roadmap and architecture, and shaping the advanced analytics capabilities to help the client collect insights and improve patients' lives. Zeynep played a key role in shaping this partnership: The program was awarded by Accenture globally with a “Creating Tomorrow” award of the year and is considered as one of the most innovative programs.

In her practice role, Zeynep is driving the agenda regarding how platforms and ecosystems will shape the future of digital health and will bring value to the patients and life sciences industry. Her role includes leading the practice of 30 Accenture practitioners in a multi-disciplinary team, which brings cloud technology and industry expertise and developing the internal capabilities with emerging technologies (i.e. Google, Amazon, etc.). Additionally, she was selected to represent Accenture Switzerland in the American/Swiss Young Leaders Program in autumn 2018. Zeynep is Swiss citizen and Turkish native.
