Sarah Hanffou is the President of Ping sans Frontières, a non-governmental organization which aims to develop table tennis as an educational support globally. During her sport career, Sarah won many medals in both the youth and senior categories. In 2006 and 2007, she became vice-champion of France in doubles with Xian Yifang. In 2007, after three years at the National Sport Institute based in Paris, Sarah decided to stop the competition to devote herself to her law studies. In 2009 and 2010, she became the France champion by team in the first division of the French league with the club of Evreux. Sarah is also a two-time French university champion. She resumed international competition in 2010 under the colors of Cameroon and won the African Championships, held in Yaoundé that year. Sarah participated in the 2012 Summer Olympics. After completing a master degree at the University of Aix en Provence, she became an officer in the French army. At the same time, she continued her doctoral studies in public law and published her thesis on the African Court of Human Rights in 2017. Sarah is now a trainee lawyer in Marseille, in the south of France. She is still very devoted to her NGO and has started participating in specific development missions for the International Table Tennis Federation.
