Ruveni has specialised in industrial relations and employment law for over 20 years and established the employment group of Johnson Winter & Slattery Lawyers which she has led for over 10 years. Ruveni is recognised as a leading or recommended lawyer in employment law in Asia Pacific Legal 500 and Chambers Asia Pacific, Doyles Guide and Best Lawyers. Ruveni has acted in some of the most significant and high profile employment cases over the last ten years and achieved successful outcomes for her clients.
Ruveni is a founding member and former director of the International Women Forum Australia and currently the President of IWF Australia.
Ruveni is passionate about helping women realise their full potential and is an active champion for change. Ruveni’s approach to leadership is focused on recognising, celebrating and accelerating the careers of women lawyers. As the leader of a predominately female practice, Ruveni is focused on ensuring the lawyers in her team develop the highest quality legal and professional skills while achieving a positive work life balance and working flexibly where required. Ruveni is actively involved in initiatives and conferences promoting the interests of female lawyers and regularly speaks at industry conferences on the topic. Ruveni has worked closely with the HR director and Management Committee to develop the firm’s Diversity and Inclusion strategy and established the Pathways to Leadership Program for female lawyers at her firm.
Ruveni is a mentor under the JWS mentoring program to numerous lawyers within the firm at all levels Ruveni also volunteers to mentor young graduates from her former school and has mentored a number of lawyers through the NSW Law Society. Ruveni is also currently mentoring a fellow in the IWF Fellowship Program.
