IWF Town Hall: Mental Health in the Time of a Pandemic

On May 14, we convened a virtual version of our signature Town Hall on a topic that is top of mind for everyone: sustaining emotional and mental health during the current global pandemic. IWF members Dr. Patricia Elder of Trinidad and Tobago, Dr. Dominique Lanctôt of Canada and “DrD” Dorianne Cara Weil of South Africa provided their counsel and insights.

Dr. Patricia Elder is the Founder/Director of Elder Associates Limited, a leader and visionary for the delivery of mental health services in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. Dr. Elder specializes in Employee Assistance Programs, lowering the barriers for thousands impacted by mental health concerns to access treatment.

Dr. Dominique Lanctôt is a private clinical psychologist and co-founder of Alphapsy, a psychology center in Montreal, Canada. She uses cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness-based stress reduction techniques as her main treatment approach. She is an associate professor in psychology at the University of Quebec.

“DrD” Dorianne Cara Weil is a clinical and organizational psychologist with over 30 years’ experience and is renowned as the country’s leading media psychologist. Her work includes mediation, executive coaching and workshop facilitation for companies around the world, addressing audiences and facilitating forums in 57 countries.
