International Women’s Day is the perfect occasion to come together in celebration of the IWF sisterhood and to hear from a powerful woman whose work has had a transformational impact. We are pleased to invite you to view something truly special - International Women's Day: A Conversation with the Rt. Hon. the Baroness Brenda Hale of Richmond DBE.
As the first woman to serve as the President of the United Kingdom’s Supreme Court, Lady Hale is a celebrated legal trailblazer. From her significant role in landmark reforms to her continuous championing of women in traditional institutions, Lady Hale’s dedication to gender equity legislation and rulings has transformed the United Kingdom’s legal system. Fittingly, the motto she chose when appointed a Law Lord in 2004, translates from Latin to “women are equal to everything”. Naina Bajekal, Deputy International Editor and Editorial Director of Newsroom Development at TIME, will join Lady Hale in conversation.
This exclusive session is a fitting introduction to IWF’s Virtual Cornerstone Conference: Change in the Face of Challenge, which ties into the theme of International Women’s Day: Choose to Challenge. We are excited that the conference is being held during Women’s History Month.
