International Women’s Forum and Leadership Foundation Announce Merger

Combined Organization Creates a Powerful Force for Women Leaders

Washington, D.C. –On January 1, 2021, the International Women’s Forum (IWF) will officially merge with its long time supporting organization, the Leadership Foundation (LF), which accelerates the careers of the next generation of women in leadership. This historic union brings the two highly complementary organizations together to form a single 501(c)3, operating under the name International Women’s Forum.

The Leadership Foundation was established in 1990 and offers mentoring, networking and world-class leadership development training. The Foundation seeks to increase the number of women in the C-Suite and positions of influence globally and fulfills this mission through its flagship initiative, the Fellows Program. To date, the Fellows program has elevated more than 550 international Fellows – society’s rising stars – to accelerate the potential of the next generation, and to lead the world tomorrow.

Toni Randolph, LF Board President, stated, “We are excited that IWF is bringing the Fellows Program to the center of its mission: to advance women’s leadership and champion equality worldwide. We celebrate LF’s rich history as we transition into a new and exciting phase of supporting women leaders.”

According to IWF President Helen Rule, who is also an alumna of the Fellows Program, the merger provides an opportunity to present a unified voice. She stated, “This merger creates a strong, unified voice in support of women’s leadership across generations. In this exciting new phase of the organization, we are looking forward to expanding upon our mission as a powerful force for women leaders across the globe.”
