Executive Vice President and General Counsel, The Conservation Fund
Holly Cannon is the Executive Vice President and General Counsel of The Conservation Fund, where she directs the Fund’s legal affairs and manages legal compliance, transactional matters and corporate governance. The Conservation Fund is a national nonprofit land conservation organization chartered for both land conservation and economic development. Holly joined The Conservation Fund in February 2014, after spending more than thirty years in the private practice of law in Washington, DC with Beveridge & Diamond, P.C., where she served as the firm’s Managing Shareholder for five years. Holly served as a member of the Board of Directors of the National Environmental Education Foundation from 2005 until 2013. Holly has been selected by her peers as one of the world’s leading environmental lawyers in “International Who’s Who of Environment Lawyers” for a number of years. She also has been named in editions of “The Best Lawyers in America” in the field of Environmental Law, and as a Washington DC “Super Lawyer.” Holly graduated from the University of Alabama in 1978 with a B.S. in Management, summa cum laude, and received her law degree from Georgetown University, cum laude, in 1981.
