First Australian Leader of Global Women’s Leadership Organization

November 12, 2020

Washington, D.C. – The International Women's Forum (IWF) announces Helen Rule as President of the IWF Board of Directors. The appointment of Rule, an expert in developing and implementing organizational re-designs, comes at a time of transition as IWF acts on its revised mission to advance women’s leadership and champion equality worldwide.

Helen Rule is Vice Chairman of the Imatech Group of Companies. Based in Europe with its largest branches in Australia, Imatech is a diversified products, industrial systems and services company. Prior to joining Imatech, Rule served as the Human Resources Director of Industrial Automation Control with Honeywell, Inc. As Director, she was responsible for the organizational re-design of the Industrial Automation business unit from a decentralized entity towards a single-unit covering 20 countries in the Asia-Pacific region.

She has served on the IWF Board of Directors for six years, was a founding director of IWF Australia and advised on the development of IWF New Zealand. She stated, “I see three important reasons for being an IWF member: to connect as women, to grow as leaders and to embrace the future by assisting younger women. As President, I will work to sustain the values and sense of belonging that I cherish about IWF.”
