Vice President of Strategy, Airbus
Elisabeth Ourliac is Vice President, Strategy at Airbus, a world leader in the aerospace sector. She has had a successful career of over 30 years in the aerospace business with several senior management roles, notably as Head of Audit and Risk for Airbus, reporting to the Audit Committee of the Board. Elisabeth began her professional career within an Audit firm and joined Aerospatiale, the French aerospace company which cofounded Airbus, shortly after. As one of a handful of women executive leaders in commercial aviation, she played a pivotal role in restructuring the European Aerospace Industry with the merger of Aerospatiale/Matra, the creation of EADS (European Aerospace and Defense Company), and the integration of the Airbus Company involving the aviation players of France, Germany, the UK, and Spain. Elisabeth is Chair of Genomic Vision, a biotech company listed in France, specializing in the detection of genetic disease and associated diagnostics. In 2010, in recognition for her contribution to the French and European Aerospace Industry, Elisabeth was made Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur, the highest distinction in France bestowed by the President. Elisabeth holds an MBA from the Toulouse Business School, majoring in Finance, and a bachelor’s in law with honors from the University of Toulouse.
