Clover Moodie is the Group Chief Financial Officer at Kingston Wharves Limited based in Kingston, Jamaica. At Kingston Wharves, she provides leadership in strategic financial management, financial reporting, taxation, regulatory reporting, treasury management, and other initiatives to maintain the financial health of the organization. She is also charged with overseeing the Information Technology, Client Services, and Logistics Services divisions. She has been at the forefront of the company’s transformational projects, leading the digitalization of internal customer service and back-office processes, connectivity with the Port Community System for seamless cargo clearance, and data management with the wider shipping sector. Clover successfully negotiated significant funding for major capital projects to expand the terminal and digital infrastructure of the organization. She was also instrumental in securing the Special Economic Zone designation to allow the company to benefit from tax incentives and to position the organization for future growth strategically. A finance professional for over 25 years she has served in several capacities within GraceKennedy Ltd., including VP of Financial Control in the Group’s financial services division. She has also held the position of Chief Financial Officer for Chukka Caribbean Adventures and external auditor of PricewaterhouseCoopers. She volunteers as Treasurer for the Jamaica Manufacturers & Exporters Association and the Jamaica Trail Project (restoration of the trail in the Blue & John Crow mountains, a UNESCO world heritage site).
Clover holds an MBA from Florida International University (recipient of the Academic Award of Excellence), a BSc. in Accounting (Hons.) from the University of the West Indies, and certification from the Institute of Certified Internal Auditors. She is a Fellow of both the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica (FCA).
