Caroline Carpendo - Brazil | Head of Human Resources, Gerdau
Caroline Carpenedo is the Head of HR and Sustainability at Gerdau, a Brazilan Multinational Enterprise, based in São Paulo, Brazil. With more than 18 years of experience, Caroline has worked globally leading HR operations including time living in Italy, the USA, Canada, and has worked cross-culturally with businesses in China, India, Spain and more. A multi-faceted HR professional, Caroline is responsible for leading and implementing processes such as talent acquisition, corporate education, leadership development, career and succession, competencies and 360 assessments, international transfers, performance management, internal communication, organizational environment, change management, business culture and HR analytics, among others.
She has led many global strategy projects such as the Gerdau 2022 roadmap related to cultural transformation, leadership development global project, global SAP implementation, revison and structure of HR area in center of expertise and purpose project. Additionally, Caroline is a Board Member for the People Panel in the Joint Venture of Gerdau and Metaldom. She is a member of the ABRH Commite which established CONARH – the largest HR association in Latin America. She is also a mentor at the PROA Institute. Caroline is a PhD student in Strategic Design at Unisinos. She received her International Executive MBA at the Fundação Instituto de Administração – São Paulo. She also has a Master in Business Administration from the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Geraisand.
Anne-Marie Dunn - Canada | SVP, Enterprise Talent, Human Resources, CIBC
Anne-Marie Dunn is the Senior Vice-President for Enterprise Talent, Human Resources at CIBC. She joined CIBC in June 2014, bringing extensive HR experience to her role with special interests in leadership development, total rewards, talent management and performance strategies.
Her executive career in HR began at Royal Bank of Canada Dominion Securities, where she supported the Capital Markets and Wealth Business sectors through a series mergers and acquisitions. She subsequently managed a start-up venture called Charles Schwab Canada as Vice President of Human Resources. When Charles Schwab Canada was acquired by the Bank of Nova Scotia, she returned to RBC as Managing Director and Head of Learning, Development and Diversity for RBC Investments. Before joining CIBC, Anne-Marie was Senior vice President of People and Vice President of People Strategies and Performance at Meridian Credit Union.
Anne-Marie has been responsible for many portfolios since joining CIBC, including Senior Vice President of HR for Infrastructure Groups, Capital Markets and Employee Relations. Her current mandate includes Enterprise Talent Acquisition, Enterprise Talent Development, Leadership Development and Executive Management, Diversity and Inclusion, and Performance and Change.
