Author, Journalist, Business Executive, and Podcast Host
Anne Doyle is a global speaker, author, journalist, business executive, podcast host, former elected official, and lifetime change agent who has been on the front lines of women’s progress for nearly five decades. She is the author of POWERING UP! How America’s Women Achievers Become Leaders and the host of two podcasts: POWERING UP! (a cross-generational, cross-cultural conversation about leadership, power, and gender), and the Game Changers podcast of the International Women’s Forum. She began her career as a trailblazing TV news and sports broadcaster in the 1970’s and 1980’s, including working for CBS-Detroit, 1978-1984, as one of the first women TV sports reporters and anchors in the U.S. Anne was inducted into the Michigan Journalism Hall of Fame for her national leadership role in fighting for and achieving equal access to college and sports locker rooms for women journalists. Anne earned her business credentials as a Ford Motor Company communications and governmental affairs executive and was named by Automotive News, the “bible” of the global auto industry, to its first list of “100 Leading Women in the Auto Industry.” Following her business career at Ford, Anne ran for political office and served for four years on the Auburn Hills City Council. An honors graduate of the University of Michigan with a B.A. in Spanish & Political Science, Anne has studied at the University of Madrid and has completed graduate work at Northwestern’s Medill, Harvard’s Kennedy School and Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. Anne is the mother of a son, Kevin, speaks conversational Spanish and is a passionate horsewoman and global traveler.
