Bridging the Leadership Gap

2006 GLOBAL CORNERSTONE CONFERENCE

MADRID, SPAIN

Bridging the Leadership Gap

The International Women's Forum hosted over 400 delegates from 27 nations to the Global Cornerstone Conference in Madrid, Spain from May 17-20, 2005. The important discussions on Bridging the Leadership Gap examined the roles of Business, Civil Society and Families and the ever evolving and expanding expectations and opportunities for women globally. Top leaders from Spain shared the stage with distinguished diplomats, government officials, chief executives and internationally recognized researchers in a 2-day program that questioned and debated the evolution and narrowing of the leadership gap.

From the opening reception at the exquisite Palacio de la Quinta to the exclusive Behind-the-Scenes access to the Royal Palace, the Prado Museum, the Thyssen Museum and the private Varez-Fisa Art Collection, conference participants experienced first hand the cultural and historical richness of Spain. IWF members were able to enjoy a sense of connection with one another and with host forum members who also received them in dine-arounds across the Spanish capital.

Following is a photo journal of a program that captured the hearts and minds of IWF members from around the world.
